My email account is suspended, what can I do?

Last updated: April 17, 2025

To address your current account suspension, usually, Gmail suspensions can be re-enabled by the Google Workspace admin.

Re-enable a Google Account:

  • Log in to the Google Workspace Admin console (admin.google.com).

  • Navigate to Users.

  • Find the user whose account is disabled.

  • Click on the user’s account and select the option to Restore or Reactivate the account.

  • Follow Google’s prompts to verify and complete the reactivation process.

Important: Make any necessary changes to reduce your email sending volume. Google may suspend accounts that violate email sending limits or spam policies.

What if my Google Account is permanently suspended?

If Google has permanently suspended your email account (due to repeated policy violations or other reasons), the account may not be restorable through the Google Admin Console.

We recommend:

  • Reviewing the suspension notice from Google to understand the reason for the ban.

  • Contact Google Support directly through the Google Workspace Admin Help portal to request more information or appeal the decision.

  • Using a different domain or mailbox provider if restoration is not possible, and ensuring compliance with Google’s email sending policies to avoid future issues
